Frozen Ground Engineering (2nd Edition) can provide you guidelines for soil material parameters. The finite difference analysis is actually relatively simple, including heat transfer equation with phase change materials. For the analytical solution, you should be able to find some paper online about how to solve Stefan equation.
We generally estimate the adfreeze force based on soils, foundation materials, ground temperature, and frost penetration depth. However, I don’t have any formulas to do the calculation. It would be great if you have any literature about this.

I have searched Chinese code, Canadian code and Eurocode for this. Canadian code only gives a very rough description, Chinese code gives rather specific rules of different adfreeze force in different soils. If you want specifications in Chinese code I can share with you.
The initial temperature is the soil temperature before the boundary conditions are applied to the surface. For the analytical analysis, you can set the average ground temperature as the initial temperature.
Hello Yong. Could you introduce which code or paper do you take referrence?

Thanks Yong. Have you looked into the adfreeze action calculation?

That would be great. Please. If it is a file, please send it to my email at yong@yongtechnology.com. Thanks.
Frost 1D – What does initial temp mean ?
